You gotta love technology.......

Wow, 14 days on the planet and look at all the fun I am having with technology...........

Hello World

Hi. This is my first official post on this jointly held blog. My name is Lucas. I have been home now for about 2 weeks. However, I have been busy learning how to eat, breath, and go to the bathroom. I spend a lot of my time with a women who is referred to as "Mummy". There is also another person who pops in every now and again who goes by the name "Daddy". There also seems to be another flatmate who has the handle of "Jacob" or as Mummy says "your big brother".

Everything is going very well. I lost some weight after I was born and Mummy has been trying really hard to get me back up to my birth weight as fast as she can. I am now up every 2 hours feeding. I think everyone is ok with this as there does not seem to be any shortage of enthusiasm for feeding me. I am usually glued to Mummy's hip (actually not her hip at all) or Daddy tries to pull off the "Formula Feed" to give Mummy some rest.

I can already flip over. Everyone seems to think this is some great feat. Apparently newborns don't do this. Well I do. Don't leave me on my back, and unattended on the change table as I may start doing push-ups! Anyways, nice to officially meet you all. See you soon.

Bye Bye

Day three in the hospital with Lucas

My daddy picks me up everyday and takes me to the hospital to see mommy and my new brother Lucas. We race up and down the hallways and get mommy cups of ice cold water from the fridge in the maternity ward. Then we race back to her room, play with Lucas, and guzzle mommy's water, and then do it all over again! Check out the video from today below.

Bye Bye

My baby brother is here!

My daddy picked me up from the daycare today and told me he had a surprise for me. He told me that we were going to the hospital to see my new baby brother Lucas. We drove to the hospital and we went to see Mommy and Lucas. Lucas weighs 8lbs and was 52cm in length. He was born at 2:30pm and was delivered by what they call a C-Section. I am not really sure what theat means. But what I do know is that I now have someone to play with all the time! Yippee!

P.S. There are pictures of Lucas on the Flikr applet on this blog.

Bye Bye

Taking pregnancy photos with my mommy!

This is my mom and I taking pregnancy photos. I don't think I was the best model today - she looks happy in the photos but there were lots of threats behind the scenes to get me to even come close to her! I'm looking forward to meeting my baby brother very soon! love jacob
